Minor Head Injury accepted into “A Night of Horror”

Minor Head Injury has been accepted into the “A Night of Horror” International Film Festival in Sydney. The film will be part of the Lovecraft, Actually showcase of shorts starting at 3pm, March 25th and showing at Dendy Newtown.

Minor Head Injury wins at Swan Film Festival

A week ago we received fantastic news: Minor Head Injury had won three awards at the inaugural Swan Film Festival!

The announcement can be found here. Our horror short won Best Actor (Steve Hooton) AND Best Actress (Alyson Walker) AND Best Director (Adam Harvey)!

Here are some pictures of the trophies we received. We would like to thank the amazing Swan Film Festival team for organising a very memorable festival, and look forward to seeing them next year.

Thriller! Chiller! is Michigan’s premiere film festival celebrating genre film and screens world-class action, sci-fi, suspense and horror movies.

Minor Head Injury screens at Bloodfest Fantastique

Minor Head Injury screened at the inaugural Bloodfest Fantastique Film Festival on Monday the 13th of June, 2011. The Assistant Director of the Festival, David Valkenet, was kind enough to write to us to tell us that the film was received favorably, with “gasps and chuckles” and a clap at the end!

Red Alpha would like to thank David and the hardworking team at Bloodfest. We hope to have something fresh for Bloodfest next year!

Afterdeath receives Digital Breakout Development funding

It’s official! Red Alpha’s Afterdeath is the recipient of ScreenWest‘s inaugural Digital Breakout – Development fund, which provides funding for emerging digital content creators, media producers and production companies to develop and fully scope the creative, technical, market and audience potential of their digital concept/idea.

Afterdeath is an online graphic novel project about Liesl, a desperate ghost who must outwit a devious fallen angel and save her brother’s soul from eternal torment.

Red Alpha is grateful to ScreenWest for their assistance in developing Afterdeath. We’re excited about building this new world and can’t wait to see where this project takes us!
